Music Tuesday - Gotye.

GOTYE's releasing his third studio album Making Mirrors to much excitement and anticipation. According to BUST magazine's Eliza C. Thompson, "it's filled with percussion-driven songs in a wide range of compositional styles. Recorded in a barn down under in remote Australia, Belgian multi-instrumentalist Wouter "Wally" De Backer creates an intricate, expansive sound on what's sure to be a breakout album."

Accompanied above by New Zealand's own Kimbra in his new single, Somebody That I Used to Know,  Gotye melodically blends the line between music and artistry. We dig, what do you think?

Neon Wisdom.

Friends of Type has done it again. We dig everything about this.

Music Wednesday - Karmin.

Karmin is described as "a little band with a big sound." Nick and Amy met at Berklee College of Music in Boston and began permanently combining their talents after some group projects felt a little too good to let go.

First gaining fans and support through their campy covers of Nicki Minaj, they now are setting off into the music stratosphere on their own. Here is their first single, Crash the Party. Teen Vogue stands behind it and so do we. Definitely good party music.

Clever, witty and true.

We thought this was so clever we had to share.

You know you've all discussed this at some point with your girlfriends and we can all list a bunch of examples of how this proves true, SO... enjoy. Laugh over it, name names, who fits into what category and praise the wit of Cape Cod Collegiate who either created or discovered it and passed it along on her Tumblr

Hysterical. We dig.

Neon Pop.

Neon pop

We're already gearing up for Spring 2012 because that's what you do when it's cold outside. So what better way to start then to build a look around our new IT'S A CINCH slingback almond toe flats.

Color blocked with just the right amount of neon pop, simply put; they're rad. Get some and see for yourself!

Meet Carrie Brownstein.

Carrie Brownstein is the newest "funny girl" to hit the scene. (not that she is a stranger to the entertainment world) Voted by Rolling Stone in 2006 as one of the "25 most underrated guitarists of all time," (and rad) to note she was the only girl on the list, she's left her mark in various ways.

Now she's teamed up with Fred Armisen, (yes that guy from SNL) to write, produce and star in the clever and witty Portlandia featured on IFC. Just starting their second season, it's beginning to pick up steam and definitely should become one of your not to be missed shows.

Here's a glimpse behind the scenes of season 2, enjoy and let us know what you think!

Music Thursday: Band of Skulls.

BAND of SKULLS is an emerging group hailing from Southampton in the UK. Consisting of Matthew Hayward on drums, Russell Marsden on guitar and vocals and Emma Richardson on bass guitar and vocals, in some capacity they have been rocking out together since childhood.

Taking the US by storm in 2010, they played Bonnaroo and left an indelible mark on the scene. Check them out and decide for yourself.
