british street artist extraordinaire, Banksy is a maybe for this weekend's Oscars and it's causing a bit of a tizzy in hollywood. famous for masking his identity, while defacing buildings and structures in the name of art, his documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop is nominated and seems to be the front runner for the golden statue. if you haven't seen it yet, rent it this weekend and let us know what you think.

Like, say, The Spotless Loop, who makes the cutest embroidered wood necklaces and brooches inspired by some of our favorite things. Would love to get my hands on one of her pieces!

BC GOES TO NYC!

A few of us BC girls are headed to NYC tomorrow to catch the tail end of Fashion Week and just have a grand old time on the other coast. Posting may be sporadic for the next few days but we'll be back on Monday with lots of goodies to share with you! Portlandia, a new sketch comedy show on IFC starring Fred Armisten and Carrie Brownstein is beyond funny. We love the 90s and we love Portland (who doesn't?) but sometimes we just have to laugh at the clichè indie culture we all fall into now and then!
