Swimwear and Sandals: The Pool
Swimwear is great when you look like a Victoria Secret model.
Not. (Who even started that anyway?!)
Regardless of what kind of body type you have, you're going to look amazing. You don't have to be paid to walk the runway or model sans clothes to feel confident this summer. All you need is a cool swimsuit matched with a great pair of sandals and you're good to own that pool. You're sexy and you should know it (two thumbs up to LMFAO for this one).

DIY: Strawberry Cocktail Popsicles
My immediate urge is to be terribly retro and attempt at using Nelly's, "Hot in Here" as my blind lead. So without shame and with pride for my early musical nostalgia, I say it is indeed hot in here, and what better way to welcome the season than with a refreshing popsicle.
I have a love hate relationship with the sun and I'm confident those feelings are mutual. One thing we agree on is celebrating the season of tasty popsicles. The kind you think about for a good ten minutes after you're left staring at the stick.
Thanks to our friend Emma Chapman, who is a contributing writer at A Beautiful Mess, for her recipe inspiration. We owe you a few mouth-watering popsicles for this gem.

Strawberry Cocktail Popsicles, makes 4-5
Needed: 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 water, 2 1/2 cups strawberries, juice from half a lemon, 1 tablespoon Angostura bitters. *note: bitters do contain alcohol, but only a small amount.
In a small pot combine the sugar and water. Simmer over medium heat and stir until sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat and allow this to cool as you finely chop up the strawberries. Stir in strawberries, lemon juice and bitters. Pour into Popsicle containers and freeze overnight.

Enchanting. Captivating. Amazing.
Three words that have been used time and time again to describe the beauty and power that is Greg Laswells voice. We seriously can't wait to see him at El Rey tonight! Here's a sneak peak of what's to come in a few hours:

Summer Concert Series Must-Haves
Whether you’re afflicted by the Beiber fevah, or you go nuts for the sweet sounds of Ray LaMontagne, this post is directed at all you die-hard music aficionados.
We know who you are and what you’re doing. We get that your friends nominated you to spearhead the Google calendar where you’re obsessively plugging in every concert you hear of in the tri county area. You’re probably also soliciting tickets from nose bleeds to general admission to front row and will do whatever it takes to scout out the best (and cheapest) way in.
In the end, saving on music tickets helps you splurge on the little things, like a pair of perfectly matching shoes that complete an ensemble. To help eliminate wonder and confusion, and to help you look ridiculously awesome, we’re going to suggest our first look in a three part series of our favorite summer concert looks.
Enjoy! xx

Popsicles, a Summer Staple.
How delicious do these look? They're Creamy Avocado, Green Tea popsicles, a perfect and healthy way of beating the heat and enjoying one of our childhood musts.

- Add vanilla extract, matcha powder, and agave and pulse until combined.
- Divide mixture between four popsicle moulds and place in the freezer until frozen.
- Serve frozen, on a bed of ice to stay cold.
*Note: If you don’t have popsicle moulds, you can pour the mixture

let's ride!
One of the best things about spring is that it's warm enough to ride our bikes all the time. There's nothing better than a carefree day spent cruising around with friends, to the beach, to the flea market, to grab lunch and eat outside in the sunshine. These drawings by Adams Carvalho have inspired us to take our bikes out for a spin this weekend. Do you have a bike? Where are your favorite places to ride in your town?
