let's ride!

One of the best things about spring is that it's warm enough to ride our bikes all the time. There's nothing better than a carefree day spent cruising around with friends, to the beach, to the flea market, to grab lunch and eat outside in the sunshine. These drawings by Adams Carvalho have inspired us to take our bikes out for a spin this weekend. Do you have a bike? Where are your favorite places to ride in your town?

Gearing Up for FYF Fest

It seems like unofficial music week around here at the BC offices. We're super excited and gearing up for our favorite local music festival of the year, FYF Fest in Downtown LA. If you're local, you absolutely should not miss this day of fun and music in the sun. We'll be back next week with a roundup of our favorite looks from the festival, but in the meantime here's what we're looking forward to hearing:

2:25 PM Raphael's Stage - Cass McCombs

3:35 PM Leonardo's Stage - Smith Westerns

7:05 PM - Broken Social Scene

7:45 PM - Girls

new internet addiction

As if we needed another thing to distract us and suck us into the internet wormhole, brace yourself, Zooey Deschanel and two of her equally awesome and talented lady friends launched an online magazine. Hello Giggles is the brainchild of Zooey Deschanel, producer Sophia Rossie, and writer Holly McAleer.

"Hellogiggles.com is the ultimate entertainment destination for smart, independent and creative females. Everything hosted on the site will be lady-friendly, so visitors need notworry about finding the standard Boys Club content that makes many entertainment sites unappealing to so many of us."

With articles ranging in topics from "Life Lessons Learned from A Never-Ending Story" to "7 Tricks to Stop Comparing Yourself to Others & Kick Envy to the Curb," Hello Giggles is a breath of fresh air. Full of offbeat topics and always cleverly written, reading this site is like having a virtual slumber party with a group of your BFFs. Now don't blame us when you're up all night on the internet hanging out with Zooey & crew.
