Music Monday - Milo Greene

We ventured into the city this weekend and were lucky enough to catch the band Milo Greene opening up for The Civil Wars. They were (simply put), super dope and a great new music find to carry us through the Winter months.

Their best asset is their on stage energy and the vocals led by the only girl member of the group, Marlana Sheetz. She could sing anything and people would line up and drop some change to be transported by her haunting and perfect voice.

Point of this story: We're so glad we went early. Get to know them yourself~

Ode to The Civil Wars.

The Civil Wars is a duo composed of singer-songwriters Joy Williams and John Paul White.  Simply stated, they're amazing.

"In some ways, music doesn't get much more modest or minimalist than it is in the hands of The Civil Wars, a duo comprised of California-to-Nashville transplant Joy Williams and her Alabaman partner, John Paul White. They travel without a backup band, and on their first full-length album, Barton Hollow, the bare-bones live arrangements that fans hear on the road are fleshed out with just the barest of acoustic accoutrements. Each song is an intimate conversation, and no third wheels or dinner-party chatter are going to interrupt that gorgeous, haunting hush" 

We seriously dig them and couldn't have said it better. (one of us recently saw them in concert and is now a SUPERFAN). Hence, here we are sharing them with you.
