we can't get enough of M.I.A.
We're always on the edge of our seat waiting to see what the ever-controversial M.I.A. is going to do next. For her newest video, "Bad Girls," the British-Tamil rapper turned clichè rap video stereotypes on their head, complete with a desert party and some sweet car tricks. And as always, M.I.A. is rocking some one-of-a-kind outfits. This girl's got some serious swagger. What do you think about her new video?

Music Mondays with M83
We're a day late on our Music Monday post, but we promise this one is worth the wait. This week we're celebrating the long awaited new album by Anthony Gonzales of M83. The band has garnered a cult following and the new album, Hurry Up, We're Dreaming, is the most epic collection of songs they've put out yet. They're playing a sold out show at the Music Box in Hollywood tomorrow night, and we're amping ourselves up by watching the video for the powerful synth-metal single "Midnight City" on repeat. Check it out.

Music Monday for the Broken Hearts Club
In the history of music, there's no shortage of songs about broken hearts. Lost love, unrequited love...everyone from Bob Dylan to Madonna to Arcade Fire has weighed in on the topic. But in our opinion, Belgian-Australian musician Gotye has summed up the feeling of a breakup better than anyone else. His lyrics and vocals cut straight to the heart of it. This song has been getting some major airplay lately, and we can see why. After giving it a listen, and watching this amazing music video, we think you'll agree.
Let us know, what else is on your breakup mix tape?

Bike Song
We had an amazing time over the weekend at the Bicycle Film Festival. Originated in NYC by Brendt Barbour, the festival now travels to over 30 cities including Tokyo, Paris and London. Highlights of the program include critically acclaimed documentary Bill Cunningham New York, shorts by Spike Jonze and Casey Neistat and tons of short films by talented indie film makers around the world. If there's one thing that's universal, it's bikes. In the words of the official Bicycle Film Festival mantra, "BIKES ROCK!"
See if the festival is coming to your town, and in the meantime enjoy this bike themed music video from Mark Ronson.

Bare Necessities.
The Summer Set, a pop-punk band (4 guys and a girl) hailing from Scottsdale, AZ has hit the airwaves with an acoustic performance of their song, Mona Lisa.
The description for how they pulled this off, is just as cool as the song and video itself.
"We filmed this performance in the desert on a beautiful summer night out by my house in Cave Creek, Arizona. We played our first few songs in front of one of the most breathtaking sunsets I've ever seen. We ran out of daylight when we got to "Mona Lisa" so we actually turned on all of our car headlights and faced them on our set to give it a special 'campfire vibe'."
Well done Summer Set, well done.

Who's that Girl?
We found these amazing photos taken by the one and only Hedi Slimane about two weeks ago and knew they would be the perfect story to share.
If you haven't figured it out already, it's Frances Bean Cobain, (yes that Frances) and Leila Brillson from MTV Style said it best,
"How did this young thing pass us by? Why did we not notice her blossoming into a beauty or get to ogle her awkward teen stage? And how did her mother, Courtney Love, the mistress of very publicly courting drama, shield Miss Cobain from the ills of fame? Perhaps it is because the heritage of Frances Bean is as authentic rock and roll as it gets. Hers is, perhaps, the most real and pure rock star tale of all: born into a legacy that we all know and she never really will. But we are officially enraptured, not just because of who she is, but because she looks as if she has the capability to handle it. After all, she perfectly resembles the halfway point between her sensitive dad (those eyes!) and her volatile and fascinating mom (that daring face!)."

We love us some Best Coast, and apparently we're not the only ones. Best Coast fan Drew Barrymore directed the latest music video for "Our Deal" and she got an all star cast of her friends to star in it, including Chloe Moretz, Alia Shawkat, Tyler Posey and Donald Glover.
Check it out! And don't miss the special behind the scenes look at the fashion in the video right here!

Fun for your Friday
Cute and dreamy Japanese music duo Lullatone put together this quirky little video of noise-producing exercises called "Experiments Around the House." Colorful, well-designed and quite catchy. We love it!
